Former abbey of Premonstratensian women by the Church of the Virgin Mary´s birth. It was founded by Vladislav II and his wife Gertruda in the second half of the twelfth century.
In the second half of the 17th and at the beginning of the 18th centuries it was considerably modified, new buildings were built while the old ones were pulled down. G. Broggio, J. B. Mathey and S. Carlone took part in the reconstruction of the monastery.
In 1782 it was abolished and for certain time used as barracks.
Afterwards it came to hands of private owner.
