SCOTTISH SHOWERS

Represent actually application of coldness, although application of warm water dominates. This procedure is based upon mixtures of warm (38 - 42°C) and cold (25 - 30°C) water rated 3 : 1 or 6 : 1. It features vibrating and strongly stimulating procedure.

For applying Scottish showers we use the "Scottish Shower Division" (from Chirana Piešťany). It is necessary to warm up the body by arm shower or steam chest prior to application. Scottish showers strongly affect heart rhexis, nerves and vegetative system.

Indications for the Scottish shower treatment:

• Low blood pressure
• vegetative and hormonal functional disorders
• Need of immunity increase, including the psychical one
