Urban monuments preservation area Kutná Hora [ Městská památková rezervace ]

Thanks to the mining of silver ore, Kutná Hora had become the most important centre of the Kingdom of Bohemia by the turn of the 14th century.
From 1300 onwards, Prague grosschen were minted at the Vlašský dvůr (Wallachian Court), and Kutná Hora became the central mint for the Czech lands.
The preservation area covers some 60ha, and among the most important monuments that it covers are the Vlašský dvůr, the Redoubt, St James´s Church, St Barbara´s Minster, the former Jesuit college, the Stone House, the Ursuline monastery, the Church of the Assumption at Sedlec, and the stone fountain by Matěj Rejsek.
