Jewish quarter [ Židovská čtvrť ]
Jewish settlement from the 14th century, a spiritual, cultural and political centre of Moravian Jewry, from the mid-16th century to 1851 the seat of the Moravian provincial rabbinate.
Of the extensive jewish quarter - 13.5 ha on the western slopes of the chateau - 90 houses (a quarter of the original) remain, including the Jewish school buildings and old people´s home.
