Komárovice [ Cadastral territory ]

KOMÁROVICE - the part of Kelč town

First remembered in 1270. It was originally an episcopal fief, later it became the part of the Lordship of Kelč (which belonged to the Olomouc bishoprie). In 1901 - 1919 the well-known wallachian poet and writer Metoděj Jahn worked as a teacher in the Komárovice school. The subject of the novel Selský práh (published in 1913) has the real basis and the real site in Komárovice.
