The town bastion [ Walls or fortification wall ]The Town Fortification Bastion
The hexagonal south-east bastion, built of quarry sandstone masonry, is provided with orthogonal openings, partly with Renaissance gratings and key loopholes. The pyramidal roof is of lesser importance. The building of the city wall can be assumed as early as the 1380s, at the turn of the 15th century at the latest. The reconstructed Town Bastion is together with the remains of the city walls situated in Žerotínova Street. Starojická historická společnost (the Historical Society from Starý Jičín) has organized an exposition of historical armour and weapons there, other rooms are used for culture events. NEXT LINKS
