The chateau is the dominant sight of Stará Ves nad Ondřejnicí Village. This representative seat of country aristocracy is constructed in the Renaissance style and with its style clearance and extraordinary decoration numbers among the most important Moravian and Silesian monuments. It was clearly built on the site of the original fortress of the Syrakovsky family in 1560 - 1570. The Renaissance chateau is markedly decorated with figural sgraffiti. The decoration depicts scenes both from the Old and New Testaments, motives of the Turkish wars as well as scenes of contemporary life. The arcade courtyard is used for musical concerts.
