Urban monuments preservation area Litomyšl [ Městská památková rezervace ]
Originally a monastery colony, which at the end of the 13th century grew to be a town.
The historic core includes the chateau, the Red Tower, the town walls, the New Town Hall, the house "At the Sign of the Knights", the former piarist church and monastery, the former piarist gymnasium - now the museum -, the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross, the deanery, the Church of the Holy Apostles, a Marian column and the Old Town Hall with its tower.
