The original gothic castle was built by Pukart of Janovice in the second half of the 13th century.
At the beginning of the 17th century the old castle was repaired and a new renaissance chateau was added.
At the beginning of the 18th century the chateau was adapted in a baroque style.
In 1857 the chateau was burnt down only the cellars have remained until today.
Nowadays there is a museum.
