Caste and chateau Jindřichův Hradec [ Castle or ruin of castle ]
The original Roman water castle from the beginning of the 13th century was rebuilt in the second half of the 13th century into an early gothic style. In the 16th century the castle was again rebuilt into a renaissance chateau, when also the rondel was added. At the end of the 18th century the chateau was destroyed by a fire. It was only at the turn of the 19th century that it was renovated in a romantic spirit.
